Beef parcels Armoricaine breed

The Armoricaine breed is a hardy Breton breed that almost disappeared, with only 19 females remaining in 1989. In 2020, there were 472 females among approximately 90 breeders. At the end of 2023, the 1,000th cow was born.

This is a very gentle and docile cow, very maternal with her calf (remarkable in suckling behaviour) and very well suited to the outdoors!

Our animals are raised year-round on grass and hay from our meadows, and our cattle are fattened naturally and slowly until they reach maturity.

For breeding, we have a magnificent bull! We arrange for all calving to take place in the spring when the grass is at its richest.

The calves, meanwhile, are fed by their mothers and enjoy very rich milk; they graze in the fields with the other animals and naturally diversify their diet (at around 3-4 months) by following the example of the adults. This is why their meat is pinker and even tastier!

At around 7 months old, we wean them. The female calves are kept to renew the herd. Some of the male calves are sent to the butcher, while others are kept to become oxen.

Tender, finely grained, marbled and flavourful, with excellent cooking properties, Armorican beef is delicious and will delight even the most discerning palates!

When you eat our Armoricain beef, you are eating high-quality meat produced naturally with respect for the environment and helping to preserve a local breed!

Once all the parcels have been reserved, the animal will be slaughtered in an approved abattoir for certified organic animals, left to mature in a cold room, then cut and packaged by a specialised workshop. You will then be contacted by email and/or telephone to inform you of the date on which you can collect your parcel from the farm.

The meat is vacuum-packed with a traceability label (weight, name of the cut), which guarantees you:

  • total hygiene

  • excellent preservation of the flavour and texture of the meat

  • optimised tenderness (slow maturation)

  • retention of meat juices in the cuts

  • no additional water release during thawing

  • better cooking results: a more tender and melt-in-the-mouth cut

  • optimised storage: minimal space taken up in your freezer and long shelf life

  • recognition of the cuts at a glance
